I live in a nice middle-class town, and I am continually annoyed by people who are TOO BLOODY POLITE. It really irritates me, and I long for some real unthoughtful rudeness in my life.

Stamp on her phone and burn the witch
Not sure if that's a bit over the top but my opinion

And another thing

It drives me mad when talking to someone, and their phone rings and the pick it up and start talking, leaving you stood there like one of Woolworths, down right ignorant.

I have worked the tills in the past, and for several years... I'd have never, not ever had the gall to 'demand' a paying customer give me their undivided attention otherwise i refuse to serve them.

What next, "Will you stop talking to your children/the person behind you, otherwise i wont serve you"

Would you be happy if two checkout staff continued having a conversation whilst serving you ?

That's happened to me.
At Sainsbury's.
I wasn't bothered in the slightest, as a) they continued to scan the items through while I bagged them up and b) they paused their conversation as needed to process my card payment/offer vouchers/bid me good day.

You've really hit on something there... erm... I dunno... I'm going to have a serious think about the scenario you've presented and i'll get back to you.
