It happens to me sometimes, I assume I must inadvertently touch the ignore button.
If you click on the ignored thread and scroll to the bottom there is a button that says something to the effect of 'read contents'. Works for me, hope it does for you.

@gavroche if you go into the tread, the ignore button top right of the opening post, toggles on or off.

But remains invisible/out of sight until you Unignore the thread.

Bottom of the page will have "Show Ignored Content" at the base of the page. You then have the choice of "toggling the button" mentioned.

Then again I was only experimenting to help out @gavroche.
As a mod I cannot really ignore threads, I must try to read as many as I can ... until I lose the will to live

Bottom of the first page in the Cafe, with one thread put on ignore to show what I mentioned.

Maybe your settings don't allow you to put anyone/thing on ignore.
