Don't go to these poncy eating establishments if you are hungry. The little bit of artwork you get in the middle of the plate wouldn't satisfy the normal appetite. Three course of artwork will set you back a small fortune, plus drinks of course. Better of as the OP says, double egg and chips, baked beans and bread and butter, with a mug of tea. I have eaten in several of the TV chefs restrauants, and although the food is tasty it is very, how shall I say, polite. You don't come out feeling satisfied.
