I actually believe he is a fairly serious cyclist as he then asked me a key question to prove his credentials....... Can you guess what?

One of my collegues & myself make a point of asking any cyclists brought in by the 'big yellow taxis', if the bike is okay

You can tell the serious cyclists by the reply:okay:

My reply was that the bike had a soft landing because I got to the bottom of the steps first and cushioned it's fall. Does this classify me as serious?

Well, keep your doctor. He is at least able to understand fit and healthy people.

My previous doc was overweight and never exercised so the fact I was commuting over 25 miles a day by bike, there was nothing wrong with me.
+1
My main doctor is a sports specialist according to swmbo , but i do tend to get a "go see your workplace " as we have in house physio + nurses .Only trouble is if you have an issue and do sports its always put down as not work related and given how much competition for jobs there is you have to be careful .

Ha ha! Just got back from the hospital after my X-ray. Very entertaining, sent to A&E to see a doctor after the X-rays were taken and got to see security floor a guy and then escort him off the premises

It appears that I have achieved the impossible (well, the difficult) and did indeed break my knee. Roughly the top 15% of the knee cap has cracked off. Luckily it has stayed in the right position and is beginning to knit back together. If I had presented at the time they would have opened me up and pinned it, but as it is I just have an appointment with the fracture clinic for next week as a follow up. I must remember to ask them to email me the X-ray images, it's all done digitally so shouldn't be a problem and then I can show you all what I have put up with.
I think the word you are all looking for is "HERO" :thanks:
