Like I said, this isn't the first time this has happened in Metcheck. The (rather blurry) screen grab below (originally posted by someone else on the astro forum) dates from 20 January of this year. I think that was about the time the unpleasant 'trouble' with the original owner occurred, he apparently left the site in the hands of someone else who didn't know how it worked, hence these bugs crept in. And have, it seems, still not been properly resolved. A pity, it would be a good site if the bugs were fixed.
I tend to use the Met office site myself, though some of the others syndicated to the various newspapers seem to be all right.
