I'm considering rehoming my beloved palm trees

I would suggest somewhere along the Southport coast. A really hard winter might finish them off but they will stand a better chance if they are close to the sea where temperatures will be kept slightly milder. A locally sheltered spot would be best. An excellent reconnoitring project for some gentle bike rides.

I think the vicar's thinking palm trees in front of a 5 to 6 hundred year old church might look out of place.

Actually I think British churches would benefit from a bit of plant diversity, particularly these days - ever increasing godlessness amongst Brits means they need to reach out to other folks/make them feel at home to keep their congregations up.

At the other end of the religious scale, are there any of those natural woodland burial places near you accy? Would they be able to accommodate them? Or even a pet cemetery?

Has the local sunbed tanning shop got room?
