You do talk utter c**p, still debating with an idiot is passing an otherwise boring Saturday morning. Where did I say that Sharia law should replace our judicial system. If people want to practice Sharia law in this country they have the freedom to do under the supreme precedence of the existing legal system ie wherever a conflict occurs between what Sharia law says should happen and what our legal system says is permissible, our legal system wins. It was ever thus. If it is felt Sharia law has something to offer this country then it will be assimilated into the legal system in the usual way.

As for being British, you can't even define what it is. Go back through your ancestors, pick the one who can say "I belong here. This is where I came from. My people have always owned this land" and share it with us.

Where did I talk about curry you moron. I am obviously talking to someone who is not proud of their ancestry.

Sorry I assumed that curried food might be one of the Indian traditions you mentioned. User, is curry Indian?

I'm very proud of my ancestry as it happens and obviously seem to know a lot more about mine than you do about yours. As previously mentioned two strands of my ancestry come through the Celtic Irish. Of the rest, one strand runs back over 400 years to a Scandinavian settler. So tell me where do you come from?

Maybe you do maybe you don't my post #15 explains enough to make me British and not worry about wether I am half this or that with a dash of something else for good measure. I never knew it was a crime to be British and proud!

I know we're really friendly and get on in reality, enjoying each others company. However, according to some, we should be at each others throats!

Anyway, when are we meeting for a drink and eat again? You coming to Tooting next week?[/quote]

I think just seething mate. He doesn't strike me as a happy go lucky really. If I didn't have a skinhead myself I might taint them by suggesting he had one.

I'm not sure about next week. I'm settling into my new job of keeping the borders safe and ensuring we don't inflict people like Paul J on the rest of the world. We do need to meet up for a beer at some point though.

That's not a nice answer!
As a foreign national in the uk I am really happy for you to be proud of your nationality, I like people proud of their ancestry, maybe because I never had this due to a too mixed background, don't know who are my people anymore.
Accept, though, that you are now sharing your country with us aliens ;)

Assumptions, assumptions. Maybe someone should take care of our borders but probably left to someone with more experience.

what i dont understand though...just to deviate from th epoint for a bit....is when 'foriegners' live here and do nothing but complain about the uk and our ways, traditions and the weather....I've seen that a lot. The uk offers these people a lot they dont have 'back home' or they would not be here I guesss...so my thoughts are...if you're going to just take and winge, instead of contribute ( and many many do contribute) then either shut up or pack up.

What a weird post! You criticise me for making assumptions and then immediately go on to make huge assumptions on my level of experience.

How can you be more British than anyone else who was born here?

I have never said I am more British only what makes someone British. Read the previous posts rather than bringing on a personal attack because you disagree with my comments or views.
