I'm getting a new bike for my birthday

Hubby finally caved in. I bought my MTB about 8 weeks ago now and as you all know I absolutely love it. Riding it on tarmac however, is another thing with the weekly mileage I am doing.

I have been pestering hubby now for some time, to allow me to buy a second bike, but he kept saying no, where would we put it etc., The shed is full, the garage has two cars in it and I have been keeping my bike in the hottub room, not the best of ideas. So we are going to get one of those plastic bike holders from a DIY shop and both my bikes can then go in that.

Today he finally caved in and said ok, you can get one for your birthday.

So November the 1st I get my new road bike

How cool is that, I am so excited.

I get my new road bike on 8th September. I am getting over-excited already.

Its only my second ever brand new bike, the first was when I was 14. It is the first time that I have paid for a bike since 1994.

Its going to cost me a lot of sweat, trying to prove that it was worth while!!

Jane, remember, its coming up to winter.

So get an expensive road bike, then get one not so expensive with full mudguards for winter You know it makes sence.

Did you see I have HAD to back out of tomorrows ride now?

I just told hubby that I told you all I am getting a road bike and he said did you tell them why? I said no.

Well my kind husband was concerned with me going on all these roads and on a MTB, that I might do myself an injury, that is the reason why, he is looking after me

I will start my search very soon Have not got a clue where to start looking
