My personal opinion is that they are knocking everyone back to see if how you respond. My one nephew was put through all sorts of hoops before being accepted for AAC. Your son must just reckon that this is his selection hurdle and prove to them he's up for it. Tell him good luck.

He's determined and says he will go back in January (already been given the date), having lost the stone and will beast the physical
He really wants this, it's a tad unfortunate that he's a quiet, laid back lad and comes across that way in interviews.

Ooooh sorry!
It went well but he has to go back in January for a fitness day...according to his BMI he needs to lose a stone.
If he does that he will be recommended for selection.

There's only one intake per year for his chosen job (in March) so fingers crossed he makes it in time

Don't worry, he will make the grade if he wants it badly, if not and he still fancies a life in our fantastic forces, there are lots of trades he can go in for, he doesn't have to be infantry, even though all recruits do the exact same training........even a medic is a fully trained soldier first, life saver comes second.

Yes. My daughters' 'soldier' role was NBC decontamination.
Her 'other' job was a musician with the Mounted Household Cavalry!

Actions speak louder than words, when he goes back fit and at his target weight, they take notice. My one nephew was the same, stuttered in interviews but once the they saw he was determined he was helped.
