So what does one do to mend a broken hip?
Is it like your collarbone, just leave it alone, it will mend?
I have never broken anything in my body ... yet!

Ambulances should have bike racks.
You'll sleep and recover much better at home. (As long as you do as you are told!). I once had a minor operation on my throat. Because of the risk of swelling and stopping breathing, i had to stay in overnight for observation. The ward was so busy and noisy that i did not fall asleep even for 5 minutes. The nurses were running around like blue arsed flies all night looking after properly sick people. No one observed me once and I felt like a complete fraud!

Would query them re this.
When I got home after my accident the raised toilet seat, perching stool, grabbing thing and lots of other "goodies" had already been delivered.
Take care X.
They asked if i lived with someone else and if i had a shower in the house. Presuming the someone else would be my short term carer. They haven't met Mrs Accy!

Just limp around, don't weight bear and don't cycle i presume. As for work, god knows what i'll do after the months insurance money runs out? Maybe we could have a whip round for me on here?:okay:

Ditto here, even a Commode (although that went back with all the wrappers still intact cos Maz told me if I used that I could clear off)

I'm off to the pub in an hour or so. I'll take it easy seeing as i haven't had any alcohol for 5 days and i'm on codeine. Maybe keep it down to 5 pints to be on the safe side?
