Théy arèn't going to operate. Théy say it's the ball thàt goes in the soçket. They could pin it but it might not hold. They're sending me home next week with crutches and orders to not cycle for 2 months.(sad face)
 GWS Accy, there was a bloke who had done similar when I went in for my 2nd operation on my Femur, he'd had a fall a week previously and didn't know he'd broken it either.

If you were closer I would bring you some grapes, I did tell you a recumbent trike would be a good idea.

I suppose it was lucky you did not chase the other guys for a couple of days wages, you can go after him big style now.

GWS.

I am in hospital. Just incase you’re wondering where I am. Remember when I said í'd come off my bike the othér wéek and I went to À and E and they sent me home. Well the pain got worse so I went baçk ànd kind of demanded an x ray. They found I'd broken my hip. So hére I am in Blackburn hospital(sad face). I'm sending this message by a borrowed touch screen thingy, so apologies for any word mistakes!
Get well soon Accy

Why all this 'sue the NHS' talk?

An x-ray wasn't done initially as, most likely, it wasn't clinically indicated. Accy then presented back at A&E some time later with ongoing pain and an x-ray was then taken to rule out or in a break as the issue.

I assume @Accy cyclist does not fit the typical demographics that would indicate him as high risk therefore the initial examination was reasonable.

The current attitude to sue the NHS in an American import, where private healthcare is predominant, that I abhor and takes vital funds away from direct patient care.

Shall we leave all of this stuff on the other thread Accy set up asking for advice about loss of earnings.

He's got bigger immediate issues and a wish for sympathy and support than finger pointing and raking over old disagreements
