I'm like a bike magnet

Friend #1 has just rocked up today with a 1970's 531 Holdsworth frame and fork. Free. I probably have enough in the parts bin to assemble a whole working bike around it. And it's my size!

Six months ago I had four bikes. (Not including the Super galaxy I purchased to flip), I now have eight bikes. All gifted. All but one are ferrous. Ironically due to poor health I'm at a stage in my life when I can barely ride a bike more than a couple of miles without it wrecking me for 24 hrs. Thankfully I derive just as much pleasure from fannying around with bikes as I do actually riding them.

Pictures to follow.

@biggs682 runs a treatment programme for people with too many bicycles. The treatment is radical and painful, but effective.

Nice lugs. Except they weirdly hadn't slotted the seat lug, so I had to have at it with three hacksaw blades taped together.

Cannondale looks lovely. The other thing, not so much.

I was thinking the opposite!

Her indoors is giving me serious side eye.

I get a similar response from my SWMBO . I told her it is my hobby doing up bikes. It keeps my brain active , satisfying when they are cleaned up and I do get out and ride them so exercise as well.
It is interesting trying out different makes and finding out which ones ride well.
