The Noodley children were sent to bed early this evening for failing to take on board the many requests to stop beating one another up.

I have just found a plea from younger Noodlette in the kitchen. It is folded in half with the message "reed or else sofor the consacwinses":

Sorry about erler on me and "elder Noodlette' are starving can we have some thing to eat please love you from 'elder Noodlette' and 'younger Noodlette' bye bye

She had then drawn a heart with 'I love my parentse I'm hungry'

I'm really gonna have to sort out her spelling ;)

You have succeeded in joining the opposing forces in time of need against a common enemy!

Bet the truce ends after they are fed!

In that case, perhaps I shall never feed them again ;)

I'd rather have thought they'd have tried a different angle given that 10 minutes earlier I had baked them a fruit pie and served them it with vanilla ice cream

Lovely stuff. It almost makes me wish my kids were young again!

We still have a note from our daughter at 14 listing her grievances and how much better she will treat her own child in the future.
Recently (at 28) she said to me, " I can't believe you let me go to Magaluf at that age"

Excellent. Have they tried to leave home yet? My two left one evening with rucksacks packed with fluffy animals. I had to do some fast talking in the rain.

I'm not old enough to have a daughter of that age ;)

She did well giving it a go.

I have tried packing the rucksacks for them ;)

Elder Noodlette 'left home' once when she was younger - she spent the afternoon in her Wendy house at the bottom of the garden, which I suppose was 'leaving home' for her...

I've just been into their room to give them both a kiss and 'tuck them in':biggrin:

The correct response would be to leave a note for her saying: "Sorry there is no food in the house and the cubbards are bear and we have no more money becos Daddy spent it on a Plannit X" ;)
