iMac woes

Ok if I recall we updated our iMAc some time back and since the WiFi has not worked ? I can connect to our WiFi and get an IP address but and I think it’s related in that no way can get to the outside world . Changed the DNS settings but still no joy ?


Strangely it can connect to my phone hotspot and works ok ? All very strange .

As it will connect to your phone Wifi, there is something wrong with the home one. Have you tried any friend's houses/public hot spots.

This would say it's your router TBH. I know it's an ar$e, but a factory reset of the router ! Remember to change the ID and password to the one you currently use upon resetting ?

Chicken bones - pick 'em clean, put them into a hat, tip 'em out and look at the pattern. From this you will be able to determine the solution.

There may be other more technical solutions, but bones are equally as good for me.

Sorted , changed the WiFi to another name and password . Sorted ??!!! Very strange

Did try deleting all files regarding the WiFi connection but didn’t seem to make a difference. Stupid Mac rubbish
