Ive been musing over this philosophical wisdom for a couple of months now so there must be some truth in it or it wouldnt have been bugging me! Particularly relevant to cycling? any thoughts..

Well he goes up a big hill. Then back down. Then up. Pretty like cycling.

Happiness is an option. You can decide to be happy, or not. Just because you are doing work, it does not mean you can’t be happy.

Remember the film 'Cool hand Luke', the star Paul Newman [if i remember correctly] gets the chain gang team to work super fast and in the process have become masters of their situation and away from the guards.....this came to mind in my ponderings. Other thoughts i had was it was plain ridiculous! if the rock was twice as big he should be twice as happy! and its some smart r's notion from a philosopher [Camus] who only has a pen to push!
All in all there is some thing there....embracing the absurd and living in the moment, anyhow im still working on it.

Whenever Sisyphus finds it hard to get the ol' boulder rolling in the morning, he thinks about Prometheus, who is just about to have his liver eaten by an eagle .... again. That never fails to put a smile on his face.
