Deary me...

They started off so well but then decided to pull the Article 10 crap. It sounds like they've got some barrack room lawyer advising them.

As for the allegations of racism, I haven't seen any evidence of this.

Well there is this:

I don't think the person who claims he knows the driver is very intelligent. The woman I spoke to at the firm had a West Indian accent, I refrained from asking how she'd feel if a van had a black person tally on the side.

Racist: No
Moronic: Yes (although credit to him for not saying it out loud on the phone, as that would have been epically doofus like!)

Certainly has potential for someone to pretend they are offended and suggest it is racist, just like the over blown reaction in relation to the stickers!

We've seen the photo you posted and I, like many others here dont believe it

Why not? The company have admitted it. Anyone who would drive around with a tally of black people as if they'd run them over is a racist idiot, it's the same with these stupid stickers.

Not according to the law, or the PCC. If Matthew Parris had said:

"We should slice black people's throats"

he'd be nicked. With cyclists it's ok:

The third Clause of the Code identified by a number of complaints was Clause 12 (Discrimination). Here too, however, there could be no breach. Clause 12 lists a number of things that the press must not refer to pejoratively when talking about an individual: race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental illness or disability. Preferred method of transport is not included in the list.

So a tally of black people would probably be illegal, but not with cyclists. Unwise, and pretty sick, but not illegal.

Mr Forger I can assure you I am quite intelligent. Still spreading your filth and bile throughout the forums I see. However, the stickers have been removed from the van as you well know from the NtT forum. Your "friend" has won their moral victory

So, how would you respond to a van that had a tally of people like you on the side paul, as if boasting about hurting them? Can you say what racist insults you/your friend have received?

I have not received any insults don't know about the driver though. I would respond as I do every time I see something I dislike, with my usual lack of interest. If it is of no direct threat to me or my family it is of no interest. These stickers were nothing more than dark humour.

I did not say received go back and re-read the posts?? Do you often twist posts to bring them to your favour? You and your colourful friend have taken it on yourselves to engage in a witch hunt about a van displaying some stickers. To some these stickers may be offensive to others they may be seen as humour. But seeing as how they are no longer on display this whole thread is redundant.

Glen, before you started making absurd comparisons, no-one mentioned race. It only takes someone as fractionally stupid as yourself seeing those comments to interpret your words in a way which gives them enough fuel to scream "racism", much like some nobbers over reacted regarding a couple of stickers. I also suggest you re-read Paul's comment again. Since you are so animated in insisting people reading every last word of things very carefully (I refer you to your paddy about reading the boring link you had provided), it would be nice if you could return the favour.

My summary so far is as follows (I will update as additional stupidity emerges):

There was a joke of poor taste made.
Some people played a song called outrage.
Some dorks decided to go all social media about it.
The company/van owners have issues a statement staying that stickers had been removed to avoid further offense.
The response from the company was a bit lame, but not all that unexpected.
Glenn Forger is a plank

I'm glad you/your friend have removed the stickers, but one email and asking some questions on your/your friend's facebook page isn't really a witch hunt. What's the "filth and bile" you/your friend claim to have received?

Hmm, that might be the case, not sure, he certainly has form for appearing to be reading things that aren't there though!
