Monday's ride was fuelled entirely by patisseries - it was Easter Monday and all shops but the boulangeries were closed. I'd got emergency malt loaves and cous cous to deal with the known closures but they were no competition for patisseries.

Vernon, just down the road is worth visiting too even if I do say so myself.
I cycled there a few years back and loved the gardens - well worth a few euros.

Monet can't buy you loveI cycled past Claud Monet's house and garden this week and took some pictures of the garden through the hedge - I was too impatient to joint the long queue to get in and too tight fisted to cough up anyway. My camera's autofocus created a nice impression of impressionism though...
