Sadly not, I got home late Friday from a grueling 6 days in Russia and have now just arrived in Orleans and tucking into a Croque Monsieur and a couple of Affligems ... a sleepless night in between would have finished me .....

Amateur. A real pro would have taken the Eurostar and the TGV and would have started on the wine at Ebbsfleet and the Affligems as soon as he hit Paris.

... and thre I was, about to extol the virtues of the fresh-made-to-order Noodles in the Cathay Pacific lounge when they announce that my nice early flight home has been delayed by an hour ....

The one in Heathrow is a great lounge, they only share it with Scandinavian Airlines and it's rarely busy. Tom Yum noodles cooked to order are excellent.

In Paris you can use either the Cathay or AA lounges, as they are next door to each other you can dip into both!

Yup, better a cheapo company that runs on time than a fancy one with delays, I went to Germany with German Wings a few months back, low price but top notch everything - a few weeks later I went to Italy with Lufthansa, absolutely useless, bloody awful service, delays, piss-poor excuses, etc, etc.

It's six of one and half dozen of the other. Today it's weather out of London. shoot happens. At least my 2 hr delay was in comfort .... After I'd stuffed myself silly I even managed to write a report!
Still, back in the good old days when I had a driver I could have polished off the Champers as well .... Happy daze ....

On the plane now ... Sat next to a Rabbi ....
