I had a Cambridge CD player from them, it nearly lasted for 6yrs. Luckily I didn't buy the 5yr guarantee.

My amp is a Cambridge Audio bought from Richer Sounds in 2001 and still going strong. Not to detract from your experience, just offering my own

It lasted more than 5yrs so I'd have been a bit peeved, soundwise it wasn't bad and it's big plus was an optical 'out' which allowed me to record to minidisc. I wouldn't buy another one though.
