Great run for a mere 40 year old, gutsy last lap of grim determination. Just goes to show ... never ever give up.

Yes, really inspiring. Mind you, we were always taught at drama school that although energy gets less fizzy with age, stamina generally increases (I won't call fnaar here) - it was a way of teaching us how to play up or down in age.

Well done. and 6 months older than mrs beebo, iust get her into training.
I don't want to p on her parade but winning a gold in Europe is a bit different from going up against the Africans at the Olympics.
It was a shame that her medal ceremony was held in a gale.
