Pffft!
If I needed to carry a manbag, I'd carry one but it depends on the area. It's dangerous in some places. I wear cargo pants and they carry all I need. Or if need be, a backpack would work.

Well! That's not very friendly, is it! 🫤

What's society coming to? I wouldn't feel fully dressed and ready to face the world if I didn't have my man bag

I actaly still have one of those at home. Actually probably an RAF one as it is in RAF grey/blue. It is full of all my old Dungeons and Dragons stuff which I have never got rid of, even though I haven't played it for many years now.

‘Three books in a box’?

I've got three and have been using a bag of one style or another for 40+ years. Which one and when largely depends on what I'm doing. My most frequently used is the blue one which takes phone, keys, fold up shopping bag, glasses, pen.

The others are larger, one for travelling and the other large enough to take my Microsoft Pro, notebook etc. when I'm going to meetings.

With the amount of medical crap I need to carry around I used to use an everyday black rucksack that I usually use for work. It was boring and too big. Really needed a "man-bag". hunted high and low for the right size and finally got one from Amazon made of canvas. Really useful size.

I was then looking for a smarter version for those more special occasions and always wanted a Leather bag, so when on hols in Dartmouth came across a Leather Bag Shop. They only sold bags made of leather, so I treated myself to one of these. Cost more than I wanted but...:

It's very useful and purposeful and will last and last....

I now have 'Manbag Envy', as I really like the leather one. I've enclosed pictures of mine, which I have been using since 2012.

If that sign is real, and they meant no tracksuits or manbags then I can only assume tracksuits are deemed scruffy, but I have no idea what they have against manbags in general. They might have perhaps meant no tracksuits and manbag combo's as that is the attire generally attributed to roadmen

I only wear tracksuits , work clothes or cycling gear ! ,I do have one suit and one other pair of trousers for special occasions .I gave up on jeans years ago as my thunder thighs meant i couldnt get anything that was comfortable on the legs without sizing up on the waist .
Man bags ? i had a bum bag aka fanny pack for years which was really useful and i literally wore it out as by the time you have phone , keys , wallet , glasses etc your pockets are brimming .

Ah. If they were A5, beige books in a box they would be worth money ;-)

No, I don't have those ones any more. I got rid of them shortly after getting the "new" ones.

I started playing in 1978, using those original rulebooks, then about 1980 I bought the three main books for "Advanced D&D" (1st Edition), which are the ones I still have. Players Handbook, Dungeon Masters Guide and Monster Manual.
