What a phenomenonal little piece of kit!

Basically, if you have a vehicle with Carplay or Android Auto that requires the phone to be plugged in by a cable, such as my van, this little device plugs in and converts it to wireless Carplay/Android Auto.

Very easy to set up, and once everything is sorted its brilliant. It connects automatically within seconds of the ignition going on, works seamlessly and is every bit as reliable and quick as the cable connection.

An easy 10/10.

Wireless android/carplay. Another thing I've looked at for the van.....

I have a Broadit mount for the phone - what an ace bit of kit - no drilling, but I have to plug the phone in if I want the android shizzle. The van does not have anywhere for a big phone to be placed, or any phone TBH - big problem, so the mounts were purchased.

Not usually an issue as I have a short double right angle charge cable that keeps the wires out of the way, and low profile. If the 'dongles' are as low profile as the cables, I'll get one - this is the smallest I've seen so far that you've linked to, but I'll wait - I am a clutz, and my van's USB location needs a low profile attachment.

So if I had one of these I could watch TV whilst driving wicked another distraction to the fabulous Nissan's beautiful engine soundtrack.

I like the idea of these but not sure how much use I would get from it , car has built in sat nav and the phone connects to the stereo for hands free operation.

And then I need a power lead draped to a supply along with finding somewhere to mount the unit safely and securely so it doesn't move around or block vision.

You'd need Android Auto or Crapple Carplay before it'd be of any use to you Martin.

It doesnt allow the user to do anything the couldn't before other than eliminate the need to fish ones phone out their pocket and plug it in.

No, it lets you use Spotify, Google maps and Waze etc, but android auto and apple car don't let you stream video whilst driving

If you use Google maps, it has a lot of businesses listed, if you're using it for work to visit a company, it will get you to the business, not just in the general vicinity, where you're trying to spot them whilst driving slow with a queue of impatient drivers behind you, it makes life so much easier
