In praise of Ska

I was in the car this afternoon and this song came on the radio.

Got home, and now I've spent the rest of the afternoon listening to quality ska whilst trying to work. There's something about ska that's so uplifting and I love it. Love all sorts of music, but ska is a favourite

Big fan here too, I think listening to it at Fairgrounds in the 70s ingrained that 'beat'.

The 'Mag' (Magazine Hotel in Leicester) used to erupt when 'Pressure Drop' was put on the HiFi in the bar.

Far from it. Can't stand the stuff.... even though I worked for Trojan Records far a good few years.

Though must say, Desmond Dekker was a lovely chap.

I hear a bit of older stuff on 6 music which is really good that I stick on my iPad.
