Ha! Just last Friday I had a Selecter fest whilst cooking.
Ska works for me, even went to the original 2tone tour. Madness, Specials, Selecter all on one bill.

raleighnut, Big fan here too, I think listening to it at Fairgrounds in the 70s ingrained that 'beat'.

The 'Mag' (Magazine Hotel in Leicester) used to erupt when 'Pressure Drop' was put on the HiFi in the bar.

same here@raleighnut,the waltzers always had Dave and Ansell collins blasting out monkey spanner and Double barrell
I could listen to ska all day,in fact l often do
