Listening to those clips puts me in mind of Big Black, Fugazi and Sonic Youth who I was (and still am I spose) heavily into. Similar to stoner rock?

Was never a great fan either. Did some work for them in the early 90's. Not the most happiest of people, apart from the drummer. But most drummers are the non serious type anyway.

But.. Jesus Christ Pose has one of the greatest guitar riffs EVER!!!

There's a lot of common ground. I went to the Shellac curated ATP and barring the low tuning there were a lot of similarities between the bands Albini et all chose for the event and stoner rock.
