my acceptance speech (I hadn't counted on making one) was a bit weak. I should have been thanking people (the Tail End Charlies, the Wayfinders, my lovely wife, all those who helped with the Martlets ride, the Cheam and Morden....) but I thought I caught a look of apprehension play across the eyes of my friends (god help us, they've given him the microphone) so I confined myself to saying that it was amazing what you could do with a bit of love and understanding. Very LCC.

Congratulations!

There might be a couple of less well-organised ones up here in the first half of 2011 (it's hard to find halfway catering -- I've tried!) as a few intrepid souls try to get their gear in order for next year's Dumb Run.

Although nothing like as good as yours. And probably on Saturdays because of one member's work commitments. So nothing like the FNRttC at all, really, except we will be going to the beach and it will be at night time.

It's about time I pinned up my congratulations as well.

I often check out the various threads relating to FNRttC with a little jealousy, cursing the fact that I'm located right in the middle of the country. I must make a special effort to get to the Metropolis for a weekend next year.

Well done Simon.

Nice one dell, richly deserved.

And to anyone thinking of participating: do it. I did my first FNRttC last month, and had a cracking time.
