Very true, although she was fantastic at being middle-aged, also this was a true story from 2001.

I was reminded of the swimming sketch, it is perfect Victoria Wood, always happy to make herself look sill, funny yet sad and full of hope.

Dinnerladies was a particular favourite - wonderfully observed humour, so true to life with a fantastic cast and clearly written with such warmth and affection.

Dinnerladies was hilarious, I never saw it first time round but watched all of them on UK Gold.

Like a lot of her stuff it picked out the little things in everyday life.
