Last Thursday I reported in the stolen bikes section that my Felt Mountain bike had been stolen from outside the gym. That night I reported it to the police and then checked my policy and discovered that I was covered for personal possessions taken from the home. So I lodged a claim online. The following day I called them with the crime reference number and while I was on the phone the member of staff processed my claim. I got a call later on the Friday from their 'validation' section and by 3pm on Friday afternoon a new bicycle was on order from Evans Cycles.
Now I do pay a little bit extra for this level of cover but it is not extortionate.
Just thought I would pass this on.
