Nope, only 1000 tickets are being sold, the rest are being given to charities. Or have the BBC got it wrong?

You just cut and pasted the rant with no reason, explanation or opinion of your own attached to it. So tell us, why did you post it, what is your viewpoint?

This is from the BBC Website..

The majority of tickets for the event will be made available to the more than 600 charities and organisations associated with the Queen, which include Cancer Research UK, the British Red Cross and Barnardo's.

They will be asked to pay £125 plus VAT - a total of £150 - per ticket, but will be allowed to raise money with 40% of their tickets.

Seems the charities will be paying for the tickets?

Its called own goal.
Exactly, you scored an own goal.

You refuse to back up your reasons for posting, no point in wasting any more of my time on this.

Ah fair enough, The OP remains a rant though

People of a non-charitable disposition will be able to enter a Draw for a few of the tickets.

As I see it the proceeds (including sponsor's donations) will go to a Patron Fund and then distributed to charity.

See this splendid website for further details.

Here for rides.
No, you need to show that it is factually correct, you posted the article, you need to be able to stand by it.
Not how it works, in here, nor in real life. Someone makes a statement you don't agree with, you cry BS, up to you to prove the OP wrong, not up to the OP to prove his point to you.

No context, no source and no stated opinion in the OP. A call to the OP to form a structure around what is an unreferenced cut and paste might seem reasonable.

Yes, all the charities who are allocated 90% of tickets will have to pay for their share of the tickets. Its £150 per ticket same price as those 10% of tickets that will go out to public ballot. Most of the cost will covered by sponsors such as M&S, Boots etc.

The proceeds will cover the expenses of the event. Any remainder if any will go to charity.
