Racing later, going straight from work so my pointy helmet was bungeed to my tribars. Somehow it manged to slip out and get flattened by a 4x4.

Sod it.

It was a bargain-basement pointy hat, not one of those £180 jobs.

It didn't make me go any quicker, but I liked it because there was less wind noise. It sort of tricked me into thinking it was less windy than it really was.

My headwear today was a CC buff.

Thats still.. what..? £60 for a cheap aero helmet. Stopping the wind noise on time trials is a definate advantage imo, though I've never done it myself.:biggrin:
