Glad you are OK and I hope the Police take it seriously. In view of the publicity of the Times campaign is it unreasonable to hope that they might pay more attention to these complaints ?

Just had a call from the police. Not a local driver so they're refering it to his local police force.
Got some B/S about the driver maybe not seeing me. He was 300m back when I changed lane. I know lorries have blind spots but they're not this big!!! Plus he stopped behind me at the junction for Pete's sake!! Stressed to the woman on the other end that the explanation she was giving for his behaviour was unlikely to be accurate. Not hopeful of them even popping round to the drivers company and having a word now (which was all I was after really).

I've had a call back. Jean (from SY Police) tells me that she's googled the registration and has phoned the company advising them to "have a word" with their driver. As I've said, that's all I'm really after. I'm hoping she was "dumbing" it down for me when she said "googled" as when I did the same I got no company information returned. I do realise the police have a few more resources available though.

Yeah, sounds good - we'd never google a reg, wouldn't need to as the company would be the registered keeper on PNC. What she probably meant is that after finding the registered company, she googled them to get the phone number
