Where did you find that?
We heard something gnawing away inside our sofa and to cut sort a very long story it turned out to be a larva of an Asian Longhorn beetle, which was busy munching away the woodwork. It had come from China. Apparently many trees in SE England are being eaten away and will have to come down in a few years before they fall.

Pulled my laptop out from under the sofa and it was on the keyboard when I opened the lid..

you need a couple of those smoke bomb morhkillers. Set em off, leave the room and shut the door tight. Then go out for the day / overnight. Come back next day - open the windows and come back in an hour.

We treated the carpet after a carpet moth infestation..with a moth killer spray,worked a treat
also check any old opened food packets etc..for indian meal moths..as it looks the same to me

Evil sods ate my entire front room. No one really went in there so no one noticed until it was too late! We moved house!

Going to try the traps and spray.
I can't set a fume bomb off because we have a cockatiel and they are very sensitive to air contamination.
I've read the meal moths can be brought into the house via bird food, but they fly around and I haven't noticed any (the carpet moths don't fly apparently?).
Wife pulls the sofas out and hoovers quite regularly, and we haven't noticed any damaged carpet but I'll have to have a proper look, maybe take the bottom off the sofas as well to check in there.
Never noticed anything in the kitchen either which seems to rule out meal moths.
Not planning on moving house just yet, hope it doesn't come to that..

I was going to suggest a flamethrower, but decided it might be a bit too extreme.

The house we moved to was infested with fleas. Took £150 in noxious chemicals and about 6months to get rid completely.
Carpet moth seems most likely as ghost moth larva live in the soil, so you would have had to dig one up.
