Seen this episode before when it was on BBC. Its very interesting though, especially the historical stuff with Ruth Goodman.
Worth a watch if you haven't seen it..... although it does mean putting up with Gregg Wallace, who laughs maniacally at everything and constantly repeats whatever the workers say to him.

Google reckons that 'cyle' is an alternative form of 'sile' which is a pillar. So a bicyle would presumably be some sort of double pillar set up.

I’m not sure bicyle exists (yet) in any (current) vocabulary tho :ph34r:
Then I shall start my own.
No, wait. I think that was partly the point of the Vocabulary thread!
