hi there,

I'm trying to install a weinmann rear brake to my vintage bike to match the front brake. I have all the parts except for this black nipple bit that attaches to the lever and seems to hold the cable housing still so that the lever can pull only the brake cable inside but i have no idea what it is called and where to get such an item. I have attached pictures of the brake lever that is working with the black nipple bit and the other without. Any advice is much appreciated!

Thank you!!

Max

I'd call that a ferrule. Try https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/ and see if they have any in stock.

Speak to SJS cycles I got some for a very similar lever a few years ago from them. You can find the parts on their website, but there are a couple of different types if memory serves.
