wireless sorry. U sure it dont matter where the senser goes on the fork? it says at the top of the fork, but in the pictures its in the middle. Plus the magnet will be rotating slower at the rim of the wheel, rather then if it was nearer the center. Thus giving a faster/slower speed? Thanks guys
it doesn't matter where it goes. all the sensor does is mark the passing of the magnet - the computer knows, cos you tell it, the circumference of the wheel. number of revs per second = speed
Yeah id doesnt matter it just has to be within a certain distance of the main unit. I fitted mine to about the middle as I had eyelets there which stopped it moving. The computer only measures 1 revolution of the wheel which covers x distance (say 2096mm) if its at the top or the bottom its still one revolution and it takes the same time. An irrelevant fact is that at the top of the fork the magnet has to cover a greater distance (travel faster) than at the bottom but that doesnt matter.
ahh right, 1-on-1 physics lessons were needed lol. Thankss. I dont know why i thought the inner part of wheel was going faster then the outer. Great Stuff, thanks a lot. Now you will all be bored tomorrow wiht how fast i was going before i went into the back of a bus lol
