CTC or BC insurance is a must if you cycle regular - £36 per year. Benefits to you - 3rd party cover, so if you do make a mistake and take off a wing mirror the £400 bill will be covered. You also have access to solicitors should you be involved in an accident - this is invaluable as their solicitors understand cyclists and will fight for the best deal - BC's solicitors are fighting for a long term treatment plan for my knackered shoulder.
Just do it.
I've been looking at this too, but am confused.
the CTC cover is ONLY 3rd party, so I am covered against my own mistakes...but what about the mistakes of others, am I to rely on their insurance...what if they dont stop or refuse to swap details (because I'm just a cyclist).
The acces to the solicitors is just for advice...not legal cover
Am I right?
Like Jez I really want some form of comp cover that deals with theft, and other drivers. That cycle cover thing may do the trick
