Could just use the phonetic alphabet and add the year
So, Alpha 25. But the season goes over two years. So it would have to be Alpha 56 or next year Alpha 67.
Much more sensible.

What's the environmental cost of making each lamp? This is generally glossed over. The process for baking led light sources is not too environmentally friendly
What about the environmental cost that is residual in functioning lamps replaced on the grounds of energy efficiency.
Since most of the new light sources are made in China auditing their environmental cost is very difficult. Less than transparent too. Ask me how I know.
When a light source fails replacing it with the most energy efficient source seems a good idea
But when we remove functioning lamps and replace them with more efficient light sources we should be thinking about the sequestered resources in the replaced product. That is another matter.
I have a very beige cardigan in this subject and could bore you into looking forward to or even for the early arrival of thr end of the world.
