Signs like these are common around here (and probably throughout rural France).
I’ve found them impossible to memorise (just too much information) but they do give a helpful pointer as to ‘
you are here – and this is how to get out of the maze’.
Looking at this sign (photo'd on Tuesday’s ride at le Moulin Bragoux down in the l’Arz valley, west of Rochefort-en-Terre), it’s notable just how many dead-ends there are.
To have any hope of seeing home again, I need to go to la Guette, turn right and follow the road north until it meets the road to Molac. Every other route shown on the sign is an
impasse.
