Useful article. That does explain it in quite simple easy to understand language and compartmentalise the reasons for drivers acting as they do (and cyclists).

I've been reading Bob Mionske for quite a time; he's a really top bloke and nicely replied to one of my emails one time. If you haven't, try reading some of his other "Legally Speaking" columns -not that they pertain to UK road law, but they are still very interesting nonetheless.

What's often shocking is the similarity (with both police and prosecution services on both sides of the Atlantic) in their apparent reluctance to act even when faced with substantial evidence. A bit frightening really.

Edit: here's a list of Bob's recent columns:

I do, however, strongly warn you not to read "When Justice Fails" and the follow up column "Where's the Justice" unless you have an extremely strong disposition.

It is an interesting read, but it doesn't really show why we see some people transform from normal pleasant people to raging lunatics when they get behind the wheel of a car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that comment is blatantly going to make me want to read it!

I usually poke my head around velonews, if nothing else to enjoy the sniping about the GB track team, but this is the first time I'd come across this column. I'll be making it a regular.

Apologies for the rubber thread but the next instalment of the original article has lots of stuff about road rage and how to avoid it. All very relevant and it had me thinking about some of my own behaviour. Discuss.
