Hi again,
My neighbours life style has taken a turn for the worst over the last couple of years.
I used to see her a lot pottering around the garden or outside the front cleaning the car, and we would often stop and have a chat but the last 2/3 years I hardly ever see her,
She's gone well passed retirement age ,but for some reason she's upped her working hours to well over 70 hours a week. She's not coming home until the early hours and she's back out to work again at around lunch time (7 days a week)
She done this now for the best part of three years and her house is really starting to look untidy and her car looks like been dragged through a hedge backwards.
Sadly she also looks completely knackered and looks like she really needs to step back and start taking it easy in her later year's of life.
As said previous, her house is really starting to fall into disrepair and the dormitory windows in the attic bedroom have rotted out resulting in the small glass pains crashing down into the public path ,and the pigeons have decided it to be a great place to get in to roost.
It comes to the point now I won't open my velux sky light windows just incase the things try and get into my bedroom.
Well yesterday I come home from work to be greeted by some workers next door to me, dressed up in hazmat suits and respiratory masks.
I asked if everything was ok ,and they explained there were getting rid of the pigeons.
That's all I can say is WOW what a mess it is.
They've emptied the bedroom furniture out into her back garden and it's absolutely covered in pigeons cr#p to the point its now destroyed.
They've sealed off the broken windows and last night I must of counted at least 30/40 evicted pigeons sitting on my roof trying to get back into her attic bedroom.
Hopefully they will move on in the next few days to richer pickings.

The pigeons will give up pretty quickly as we had pigeons under our solar panels but we had wire mesh closures fitted the pigeons left after a week

Looks like your neighbor is in a bit of a pickle.
She might have financial problems, that's why she works so many hours.
I work a lot of hours too, sometimes, in the distant past I'm glad to say, I used to do 12/14 hours shifts.
I know I was hardly keeping up with the housework.
Still now, it's a toss between cleaning the flat and doing the gardening, the garden always wins
As a single woman, even if you have the money, it's sometimes difficult to organize traders to do repairs.
Maybe you could have a chat with her, offer some practical help?
If you cut your grass, can you maybe cut hers too, for example?
If it's doable, of course.

At least they didn't euthanise the pigeons.😉

We had mesh fitted around our panels for the same reason all they did was to go under next doors panels who didn't have the mesh fitted
