iphone OS 3.0 Update

I'm no geek so I don't know if any of this is correct or not.

I got an O2 text today saying that a free software update is available, when I went through to itunes, as directed, they wanted £5.99 (cost only applies in the UK)

I plugged the phone into our Mac and selected the iphone updates and it did it for free!

Like I said everyone may already be aware of this but if you're not and you don't want to pay there's no need!

if you got an ipod touch you do get charged £5.99 for it, but I think it is fair that iphone gets it free as they are so expensive!

a small note, the upgrade affects the youtube application, and thus youtube doesn't work.

Youtube works fine with OS 3.0 Although there were some teething problems with the beta versions of quickpwn & youtube.

mine certainly doesn't, it won't load when connected to 3G or my home network.
