I've never used earphones and never will, but am seriously tempted by one of these.
I wonder what the sound quality is like?

I can't imagine it'll be all that useful. At more than a slow trundle, in no traffic, it'll have to be pretty loud to be heard over wind and engines and road noise?

Anyway, I'm sick enough of car stereos blaring out ruining the peace, let alone bikes having them..

    what aunty arch says…

besides, i'm often glued to the ipod for much of the day, so the change of sounds on the way home is nice.

Just use an earphone in one ear only....far cheaper.

I'm also not a lover of music on the bike and don't use anything in that respect. Riding the bike is enough to keep me interested and happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly. A bike should be like a stripped down sports car. No music.
