Thankfully I don't do overnights but it's still 4am-6am starts with a 35 minute commute. I used to cycle to work but that's been made pretty impossible with this job.
Sometimes you just have to get the work done. Hopefully it won't be forever though.

If I wake up in time on Sunday, I'm going to the GoBike ride to Erskine.
Don't get many weekends off, need to make the most of my sleeping time
I can confirm that I met @Pat "5mph" at the Let's Ride event so she obviously managed to make the most of her sleeping time. ^_^

@Slick find yourself and the Mrs here
I ended up with 4 laps, met a few friends here and there, as you do ... took some more pictures
Started spitting rain when I left, at the back of one, but came to nothing.
Great morning out, glad I left the bed

Great pictures Pat. I just did the 4 laps myself before venturing into the People's Palace to see the big banana feet. ^_^
It was a bit of a last minute thing to turn up this morning. Glad I did, really enjoyed being around the city centre without worrying someone was trying to kill me.

I wish they would copy Edinburgh and do it on a regular basis.

Anybody doing PFS this year?
I didn't plan on doing it, but another event I was involved in planning decided to just tag on to this instead.
So I was persuaded to sign up with their group.
Hoping to cycle back as well. Just not sure of a route yet.

Thinking about it. Mrs Slick fancies it but I just don't fancy the bus back and she won't cycle back.
Take the train back, it's surprisingly empty on a Sunday around 3pm.
I don't much want to do it in my current state though.
You'll manage the 50 miler no problems!
I've done the old route twice with the event, twice by myself.
Cheaper when I went myself ^_^

I always imagined that the train would be full of cyclists trying to get back. I think I will try the train Pat, thanks.

This was my experience last time. Big queue at Haymarket.
Dunno, with the bike, I've always boarded at Waverly with no problems.
Of course, I was well outside rush hour during the week or shops closing time at the weekend.
I did not hang about after finishing.
On the by, yesterday evening two of my pals got stranded in Edinburgh (no bikes): all trains were cancelled for some reason.
I don't recommend the bike bus back, did this one year, too much waiting about.

I've never had an issue getting a train back from Edinburgh normally but we were quite late finishing PfS last time and I definitely remember waiting for at least a couple of hours because each train could only take a few riders and bikes. I suppose if you get there early enough you can avoid the majority of the queue.
