GCN popped up a nice video today which demonstrates the benefits of cycling through to old age...

I left a comment mentioning that about 25 years ago 'Super Sid' pushed me up the Coll de Rates climb on the Costa Blanca!

I was lacking a bit of get up and go today, watched that and suddenly I was up for a ride.
I think I might have raced against Sid in a Vets Crit at Brough airfield in East Yorkshire.

I raced as a teenager fifty years ago, then rode only very occasionally until the pandemic, when I re-started riding again at age 62, thinking I may not get another chance. I credit riding, plus my hip replacements, for a better outlook and better health than I had before. No, it is not too late. One thing I did have to get used to again was breathing hard, though. ;-)
