Is buying bike bits on E-Bay treatable?

I started out two years ago to build just one old bike (A replica of my first "real" bike, a 57 Rudge Pathfinder.). I now have 8 vintage bikes in various stages of rebuild, two Pathfinders (Almost finished, one 8 speed cyclo, one 4 speed Sturmey Archer), a completed 48 Rudge Clubman and a 55 Carlton being the best.

My problem is I keep buying bits on E-Bay "because its cheap" or "because they're hard to find". Do I need help? Are NOS scarlet mudguards going to work with electric blue? Is it just me????

Ebay is addictive, I agree. What I love about it is selling rubbish and turning it into shiny new bike bits.
