Is it just me or is £15.99 too much for takeaway pizza?

I wasn't drunk, just got sucked in. I'd just finished work, picked the kids up, read good school reports, kids asked for dominos, thought 'why not' passed 4 spider people on route(clever marketing) Ordered pizzas, got a shock at price, I feel like a nobber for getting ripped off and embarrassing my kids questioning 'how much'.

If the kids asked for "dominos" not "pizza" and you were rewarding them for a year's hard work then you did the right thing.

Works out at 41p/week, assuming a 39 week school year. Money well spent.

And you were also right to ask "how much?", because it is overpriced. And of course the kids were embarrassed. That will be their normal reaction to you for at least the next 10 years.

If you and your kids are ever in Naples at the same time as I am then I'll buy you pizza. No matter what they cost. Or the overheads. I cannae promise there'll be any spiders.

"With one in three Domino's franchisees owning businesses worth over £1 million, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Investment.
The cost to become a Domino's franchisee is £280,000 and applicants will need access to around £120,000 of their own money."

Ha, not a bad estimate.

I'm planning on having a beer and pizza this evening with my work mates. Oslo, being one of the world's most expensive capital cities, will no doubt be offering extortionate prices.

I'll report back later (although it's absolutely hammering down at the mo. and my mates don't like the rain). Maybe it'll be a frozen one from the supermarket.

My pizza, a capricciosa, was delicious and filling (although I could have managed another) and cost about £19.

The beers, on the other hand, approx. £30 quid a round for three beers, times three rounds was not as enjoyable.

Hence, I don't go out on the town too often.
