Is it me or is it still pretty gusty?

Gosh I have really struggled yesterday evening and this morning. Its seems to be going bad to worse and the wind is everywhere and never pushing me along.

I think I may have had a tail wind going to work last night! I made it in quicker than it takes me to come home (it's more uphill going to work).

But to the point this wind is tiring caught a gust night before last when going in, lost 4mph straight away. I'm just working on the principle that when it goes away I'll be much quicker.

Well I am really struggling, as my average speed has dropped from about 14.5 ish to around 14 and just slightly lower. Today I could barely make it up Notting Hill Gate, I was wheezing away. I am dreading the journey home!

It was a bit windy today but I find that as the weather gets warmer, you cannot tell the wind as much because it is warm.

This morning was the best it's been for weeks, although I always seem to get some form of headwind along the Northeast Coast! Still a bit on the chilly side first thing, usually well into shorts by this time of year. Felt like a bit of a wimp wearing longs, but soon felt better after seeing other cyclists wrapped up for artic conditions! Don't think I wear that much gear in the dead of winter.
Up to 31 mph winds forecast up til Saturday at the moment. It has to improve soon.

I'm in the garden this afternoon trying to get a bit colour in the old legs so I don't dazzle motorists when the shorts go on.
