Is it normal..

There is no end on the info on CC: I never knew the existence of "left" and "right" foot socks!
This fact is more abnormal than the counting, imo!
It is quite easy, feet are not identical, they are a mirror image of each other;) .... shaped footwear for arch support needs the arch on the correct side and a lot of 'technical' footwear is shaped to fit to the feet better and have specific tighter spots for longer comfort which are side specific.

However for me it is simply a fact that my big toe has stretched my socks unevenly and I find it more comfortable to keep the stretched left sock on the left foot (oh that and the fact that one foot is a size 5 1/2 and the other is a size 7!)

A lot of mine are from Aldi and are labelled L or R, being a bit OCD I must make sure they not only match but are on the correct foot

Agree with the re-using of the old ones for chain cleaning though, even have one for putting my flask in to help it fit better into the bottle cage for winter joy rides with coffee.
Oi - Nutter.

(how do you spell Oi by the way) ?
