Nothing odd about it, but if you'd prefer an MTB or whatever, and are only held back by budget, remember that bikes are very simple machines and are readily available secondhand

How can anyone manage with ONLY a road bike and a hybrid? I have a hardtail MTB, a proper road bike, a carbon disc braked 'all-road' bike (which I consider to be a realist's road bike) and a hybrid. The hybrid gets used the most by far. As well as being my commuter it is often the default bike for many other rides. I did a mahoosive 185 miles ride in one day last year, guess which bike I used?

The BMX?

I have already put a small deposit on one from the LBS as i have had issues in the pass with Rutland as they are not local and also last time i had a bike online it was a nightmare so decided on the LBS route this time. I do like the Escape 3

So you are only missing, a fixed gear road bike, single speed MTB, classic road bike, classic MTB, folder and one for the turbo trainer.

And a proper sit up and beg roadster.
