Since John Peel died!?!
it was 25th October 2004, in Peru
Just been reading a page on the BBC website
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-29204467
His 'Record Box' was a great project, sadly I've not opened it up for a while
http://www.johnpeelarchive.com/
http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...th-no-one-compares-to-his-talent-9729508.html
All the 'Festive 50's, & sessions are listed here;
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/johnpeel/index.shtml
Thankfully, his son has a show on the radio, to continue his fathers work; http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00slvl3
Mark Radcliffe has a nice tribute to him, in his book "Thankyou For The Days", as he worked with him at a couple of Glastonburys
(that said, Radcliffe is to blame for Chris Evans still being on radio, & Madonnas first session on UK radio)
